Domain expiry checker for your whole list
Paste every domain you own. Warnwell asks each registry over RDAP for the expiry date, the registration date and the lock status, sorts the soonest first, and gives you a calendar file with the reminders.

What you get per domain
| Field | Source |
|---|---|
| Expires, with days left | The registry's RDAP record |
| Registered, with the age in days or years | RDAP, the registration event |
| Registrar | RDAP |
| Transfer lock on or off | The registry status codes |
| A recent move to another registrar | RDAP transfer events, where the registry publishes them |
RDAP is the registries' own replacement for WHOIS. It answers in a fixed format, so the date is the registry's date, not a copy a reseller might have cached.
When the lamp turns amber or red
- 30 days or fewer left: red, "Expires in 12 days".
- 90 days or fewer: amber.
- A domain that shows it renews by itself turns amber only at 30 days and red at 14. The signs: a corporate registrar that renews by contract (MarkMonitor, CSC, Com Laude, Safenames and the like), the registry's auto-renew status, a renewal lock, or a full registrar lock (transfer plus delete or update). A transfer lock on its own is the default at most registrars, so it does not count.
- Past the date, or a registry status such as redemption period or on hold: red, with what that status means.
- No transfer lock: amber. A stolen registrar login is then enough to move the domain away.
- Registered in the last 30 days: amber. Mail filters trust new domains less, and on a supplier's domain it can be a sign of invoice fraud.
The renewal calendar
After a run, press "Renewal calendar (.ics)". It holds two entries per domain, one 30 days before the expiry and one on the day, and it opens in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar. Nothing is stored on our side, so run it again after you renew to refresh the dates.
Some country registries do not publish expiry dates over RDAP, .io and .dk among them. Warnwell says "Expiry date not public" instead of guessing.
Questions
- How do I check when a domain expires?
- Paste it above. The answer comes from the registry over RDAP. By hand you can use the registry's RDAP server or a WHOIS lookup, but those take one domain at a time.
- Can I check the age of a domain?
- Yes. "Registered" shows the date the domain was first registered and how long ago that was. A domain that lapsed and was registered again shows the new date.
- Is there a limit?
- 50 domains per run. For more, run them in batches and combine the CSV files.
- Can Warnwell remind me by email?
- Not yet. Use the calendar file for now. A paid weekly re-check with email alerts is planned.
